Grandmaster Chang hosted his annual Tai Chi Workshop at Allen Park Park on October 12.   Last year’s event was canceled last year due to the DC area sniper crisis, so this is first one we’ve had in two years. This year’s workshop was a great success with over 20 students, friends and family in attendance.  During this annual event, students demonstrate the forms they have practicing over the past year.  Over the past year, we have been concentrating on the Yang Tai Chi Sword Form, so there were a lot more students performing that form than in previous years.  We also got a glimpse of the Tai Chi forms currently being used in competition.  Finally, the workshop concluded with all the students participating in some fun Push Hands drills.  Afterwards, everyone went over to Grand Fortune Buffet in Gambrills, MD for all-you-can-eat Chinese food.  As always, this was a fun event.  We look forward to next year’s workshop, and hope to see more of Grandmaster Chang’s students participate in upcoming workshops.
